v2 of the Fin Analytics API

We are releasing v2 of the API for Fin Analytics, which now includes support for bulk downloads of your entire team's activity timelines.

Today, we are releasing v2 of the API for Fin Analytics, which now includes support for bulk downloads of your entire team’s activity timelines.

This update was largely motivated by a number of customers who wanted to pull detailed time and resource usage data into their own warehouses and BI tools.

With Fin Analytics, we are agnostic to your where your bizops and QA teams want to work: we make it easy to index and use data logged by the Fin Analytics plugin on our website, but understand that many teams have workflows within their own toolsets. Our goal is simply to supplement your results metrics with detailed behavioral metrics that shed light on the root causes of the outcomes you care about.

Here’s a quick summary of our current set of APIs, as of this latest v2 release:


Receive data in realtime about:

  • Page Views
  • Blocks of Inactivity
  • Annotations Made via the Fin Analytics Browser Extension

You can also automate actions on top of these inputs using our Workflows rules engine.

GET Events

Download a detailed timeline of activity for your entire team, showing how much time your team spent on which CRM tickets, internal admin tools, third party apps, and other websites.


Send data from your CRM into Fin Analytics, to cross index your own data with the data Fin Analytics logs.

This enables you to, for example, build an index of video sessions where agents worked on cases that received a low CSAT score or cases worked by agents with low tenure. It also allows you to specify to a higher degree of detail events like break time and when various tickets are picked up and closed by your team.
