New Zealand Herald Interview with CEO: From Paraparaumu scavenger to a $20m USD/ $32m NZD Silicon Valley raise backed by Arielle Zuckerberg

Chris Keall, a reporter at New Zealand’s largest news publication, the New Zealand Herald, interviewed CEO Evan Cummack about his journey and our recent fundraising announcement. Beyond the Series A raise and how it will help us scale our workflow management software, Evan was able to share his story growing up as a young Kiwi dreaming of life in the Silicon Valley. The coverage also notes that Arielle Zuckerberg, partner at Coatue, also has prior connections to New Zealand companies. You can read the full piece here.

Evan grew up in Paraparaumu, New Zealand, hunting for books about technology at the Salvation Army. Sharing his story from small town Aotearoa to Silicon Valley CEO is not only a success story for New Zealand entrepreneurs, it’s a bit of foreshadowing as to how he’s ended up at FIn. Always obsessed with performance management and increasing revenue by building brand loyalty, it’s no surprise he’s at the helm of our work insights platform.

Beyond his own aspirations, Fin is more than a simple workflow management software, we’re building a platform to make work easier for remote teams around the world. The internet laid the foundation, and now Fin provides visibility on your global team architecture. Our team is all remote, including contractors in New Zealand, and Fin helps us do our best work.
